    Name of position: Application Operator (Ref. 140)

    Main tasks: - Securing operational Monitoring of Software

    Applications (stability, performance, system behavior)
    - Execution of system operations
    - Software change- and release management
    - Analysis and correction of system outages
    - Implementation of procedures for the prevention of outages
    - Analysis and correction of identified errors through adaptation of software and hardware components
    - Coordination of and communication with all parties relevant for the seamless operation of the maintained software applications

    Requirements for employment:
    - Relevant University degree or comparable experience through practical work
    - Practical and conceptional experience from working with or the administration of software applications
    - Solid background in the implementation, configuration and operation of software applications
    - Proven solid practical experiences in IT operation processes (knowledge of ITIL processes is a definite advantage)
    - Proven record for analytical and complex thinking with demonstrated ability to abstract
    - Practical experience in using scripts (Perl, Shell, Batch etc.)
    - Knowledge of Unix and / or Windows servers
    - Competent and professional appearance
    - Able to convince and coordinate multiple parties with assertiveness
    - Short learning curve
    - Practical knowledge of techniques for problem resolution, decision support and group work
    - Willingness to work on-call duty during weekends and on weekdays outside normal office hours

    Required language skills: English intermediate level , language exam is not necessary.
    Work start: As soon as possible

    Daily working time: 8 hours a day
    Duration of employment: Unlimited time

    Advantage: - Experience of working with different LAN / WAN protocols
    - Knowledge of J2EE and / or JAVA and / or C / C++
    - Knowledge of BEA Weblogic and / or Tuxedo, JAVA development and configuration environments
    - Experience in the development of scripts (Perl, Shell, Batch etc.)
    - Professional experience in the configuration and management of Content / Load Balancing, Router / Switch environments
    - Good german language skills (oral and written)
