    Global - Working in a fast paced environment under general supervision perform technical and administrative tasks required to identify, isolate and remedy network problems and outages involving multiple telecom service providers including international carriers and network equipment vendors.
    Work with customers and vendors via phone or email to create and update trouble tickets.
    Keep detailed records within the OnTarget trouble ticketing system.
    Effectively communicate and escalate problems within customer and service provider(s) as well as internal operations and customer care management chains.

    To be responsible for any one or a combination of the following: resolving carrier issues; isolating network configuration issues (Device versus Transport-Carrier issues); basic configuration of customer networks, providing support to transport, circuit and/or security systems outages and related events.
    •Ability to diagnose and isolate problems with physical and logical layer connectivity.
    •Demonstrated expertise in systematic troubleshooting procedures in working physical and logical problems with MPLS, multi-link and frame networks as well as routers, switches VPN concentrators and firewalls.
    •Ability to work on the phone under pressure and maintain a professional demeanor.
    •Ability to log into Cisco and other vendor equipment via in-band (Telnet, SSH) or out of band access methods.
    •Ability to use Cisco and other vendors’ command line interface to check configurations and performance counters.
    •Ability to perform and direct others in the installation and configuration of replacement switches, routers, CSU/DSUs or components of each.
    •Ability to perform basic configuration tasks on routers such as changing IP addressing including NAT statements, speed and duplex settings.

    Must possess or be in pursuit of a Cisco CCNA certification or have equivalent combined formal education & experience in relevant networking areas.

    Technical Skills & Specialisation:
    -TCP/IP networking skills, carrier and equipment vendor coordination
    -2-3 years experience supporting or working in medium to large networking environments or service provider environments supporting LAN/WAN networks.
    -Involved in interacting with local and international carriers as well as equipment & service vendors.

    Soft Skills :
    -Must possess superior customer skills to interact with all levels of customers, vendors and internal delivery teams. Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
    -Ability to work in a team environment.

    Lanuage skills:

    -Fluent English language knowledge is a must.
    -Also required to be fluent in French or German

    Travel expectations:
    -1-3 weeks at a time (twice a year to US and India)
    -Some local travel of shorter duration within Europe is also possible.
    -ITIL certification
